These “research exams” are designed so that you may have to go research, find the answers, and some questions may be asked a little out of sequence to where you are in the course. But the purpose is to make you critically think, put information together, and even go ahead and find the answers. We have seen what appears to be significantly better critical thinking skills and retention of information with our graduates with this method. But this is also why we allow you to RESEARCH questions. We allow you to open and close all exams except final exam multiple times if needed and also allow you plenty of time to take them. So don’t stress. It is all part of our successful learning process.
